Thiruvananthapuram: With just hours remaining for the counting of votes to begin in Puthuppally, the exit poll survey predicts a landslide victory for UDF candidate Chandy Oommen. 

According to Axis My India poll, Chandy will grab a majority of around 18,000 votes, 14 per cent more votes than LDF candidate Jaick C Thomas. 

According to the survey, UDF will receive 53 per cent of the votes, with 50 per cent of male and 56 per cent of female voters favouring Chandy Oommen. 

Meanwhile, the LDF has been projected to receive 39 per cent vote share, with 41 per cent male and 37 per cent female voters favouring Jaick C Thomas. 

Simultaneously, BJP candidate Lijin Lal is expected to receive 5 per cent vote share. 

The total number of votes cast in Puthuppally is 1,31,026, with the UDF receiving 69,443, the LDF receiving 51,100, and the BJP receiving 6551. Meanwhile, it is worth mentioning that BJP has consistently received approximately 15,000 votes in Puthuppally Constituency during previous assembly elections.
