Police in front of the child's residence

Kochi: Police took into custody the father of the boy who had raised provocative slogans in a Popular Front of India (PFI) rally. It is hinted that the boy will be produced for a counselling.

A team of investigation officials arrived at the house of the boy in Palluruthy to take his father under custody. The boy and his family were missing since the police registered a case over the offensive chants amid the rally. However, the parents of the child said that they were on an excursion when they came to know that a case has been lodged over the issue.

PFI activists staged a protest for taking the parent under custody. Police have already arrested many Popular Front activists who raised slogans at the rally along with the boy.
