Kozhikode: The police on Saturday seized around Rs 4 crore in unaccounted cash during a vehicle inspection in Koduvally. The money was found hidden in a secret compartment of a car belonging to two men from Karnataka, who were stopped under suspicious circumstances at Vattoli, near Koduvally.

The cash was recovered around 10 am. The police arrested Raghavendra and Nijin Ahmed, both natives of Karnataka, who were travelling in the vehicle. The police team had been conductingย checks for narcotics when they became suspicious and decided to inspect the car thoroughly.

The money was seizedย by Koduvally Inspector K Pย Abhilash, along with SI Gautam Hari, Senior CPO Deepak MPย and others

The police have launched an investigation to find outย for whom the accused were transporting the money.
