Thiruvananthapuram: Valiyathura police here on Wednesday registered a case against LDF convener EP Jayarajan and two others for allegedly assaulting two Youth Congress workers inside a flight. The police took the action after a court here ordered to register an FIR against the three while considering a complaint from the Youth Congress.

Two Youth Congress Workers Farzeen Majid and RK Naveen Kumar moved the complaint in the court accusing the LDF convener and two others of allegedly assaulting them when they shouted slogans against the Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan onboard an aircraft. 

Chief Minister’s personal security officer Anil Kumar and his personal assistant Suneesh VM are the other two accused in the case. 

The police registered a case against Jayarajan and the two others under various sections of the Indian Penal Code including 308 (attempt to commit culpable homicide), 307 (attempt to murder), 506 (criminal intimidation ) and 120 (concealing design to commit offence punishable with impris­onment).
