New Delhi: CPM central leadership has reacted to the controversial Police Act amendment. CPM General Secretary Sitaram Yechury said that the amendment of the Police act will be reconsidered.

Sitaram Yechury’s response comes at a time when there is widespread criticism against the amendment. Yechury also said that the party will consider all the concerns of people related to this issue in detail.

The state government had stated the other day that there is no reason for the amendment to be withdrawn despite the heavy criticism.

Opposition parties have decided to approach the court against the government in this regard.
