Thrissur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to reach Guruvayur temple on Wednesday morning. The arrival at the helipad in Sree Krishna College, Guruvayur, is set for 7 am. As a safety measure, two helicopters will be on standby 20 minutes before the PM's helicopter lands. The PM will be welcomed by district administration officials and BJP leaders. He will then proceed to the Sreevalsam guest house. 

By 7.40 am, he will reach Guruvayur temple in traditional attire (mundu and veshti). Elaborate security arrangements are in place at the temple. During his darshan, only 15 persons, including officials and traditional workers at the temple, will be allowed. PM is likely to have 'thulabharam' with lotus flowers at Guruvayur temple. He had lotus 'thulabharam' during his 2019 visit to the temple.

After darshan and other rites, the PM will attend the wedding of actor-BJP fellow Suresh Gopi’s daughter. The ‘muhurtham’ for the marriage is set between 8:45 AM-9:15 AM on the particular day. The PM will also greet other couples who are getting married at the same time. A total of 80 weddings are happening at the temple and attendees are supposed to have Covid test certificates with them. 

Modi will return to Sreevalsam guest house by 9 am. He will leave for Thriprayar by 9:45 am. The PM will take the chopper and is expected to arrive at the helipad in Vallappad High School ground by 10:15 am. He will have his darshan at Thriprayar temple by 10:30 am. During his darshan at Thriprayar temple, only 5 individuals, including officials, will be allowed. The PM will leave for Kochi in his chopper by 11:10 am.

3,000 cops are on duty as part of security protocol for Modi's temple visits.
