Nenmara: A woman died after she fell off a scooter and was run over by a lorry on a road in Elavanchery, Palakkad, on Wednesday. The woman, a pillion rider, was thrown off the scooter after the vehicle fell into a pothole. 

The deceased has been identified as Revathi (Remya-42), hailing from Aluvassery in Nenmara. Meanwhile, Manikandan, who was riding the scooter, escaped uninjured. 

The police confirmed that Revathi died on the spot after suffering a severe head injury. She is survived by her children Dhanya, Lakshmi and Sreehari.
