Kozhikode: Vadakara MP K Muraleedharan has responded sharply to the rumours of his sister Padmaja Venugopal joining the BJP.
“It was quite unfortunate. Padmaja was always given due respect in the Congress party. Her reasons to leave our party can never be justified.I don’t think BJP is either going to get benefited by her shift if at all it is to happen,” said Muraleedharan.
“Vengeance will be sought in the upcoming elections. I don’t hold any connections with Padmaja anymore. BJP leaders shall never entertain the thought that they can scare me away by relying on the Enforcement Directorate or any other agency for that matter. All such cheap tactics will not work in Vadakara. Let me remind you,” Murali said.
Fuming with anger over the latest developments which came as a shocker for the congress party, the Vadakara MP said that, “K Karunakaran’s soul will never forgive Padmaja. No BJP member will be allowed to come close to my father's memorial!”
The news of Padmaja’s potential shift to BJP has sent shockwaves across the political realms of Kerala.
