MG University publishes UG results on next working day, earning praise from Minister R Bindu for efficiency.

Mahatma Gandhi University (MG University) has set a remarkable precedent by publishing the final semester undergraduate examination results on the very next working day after the exams concluded, said Minister for Higher Education and Social Justice Dr R Bindu.
The sixth semester regular examinations for BA, BSc, BCom, BBA, BCA, BSW, BTTM, and BSM courses were held in April and May. The viva voce examinations for the final semester concluded on May 9 (Friday), and the results were declared on May 12 (Monday), the next working day.
1.5 lakh scripts evaluated in record time
Nearly 1.5 lakh answer scripts were evaluated across nine centralised valuation camps. The valuation concluded by May 7. The comprehensive results also included those of the supplementary examinations held just before the sixth semester exams.
The university attributed the record-fast publication of results to meticulous planning and systematic functioning. “A commendable model worth emulating,” said the Minister while congratulating the university.
Faster results compared to previous years
In 2023, MG University published final year degree results on the 14th day after the exams. In 2024, the results were out by the 10th day. The Minister also pointed out that the first semester results of the four-year honours degree programmes were published within just three days.
She said the university had been an active partner in the Higher Education Department’s ongoing reform initiatives.
Government extends appreciation to all involved
Dr Bindu, on behalf of the Higher Education Department and the state government, appreciated the teachers who completed the evaluation on time, the supervisors at valuation camps, the non-teaching staff, the Syndicate members who coordinated the process, and the university leadership.
