Thiruvananthapuram: A one-week Legal Awareness Programme, LAWOJ 2021 (Law Academy Wings of Justice) is jointly organized by NALSA Kerala Law Academy Legal Aid Clinic and Services, KLA NSS and the District Legal Service Authority. The programme was inaugurated on Wednesday by Justice Muhammed Nias CP, a High Court Judge.
A quiz competition on 'Glimpses of Consumer Protection Act, 2019' and a 'Talk with a Lawyer' session will be conducted as part of the event on October 21. Also there will be a webinar and discussion on 'Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act 2017' on October 22. A webinar on 'The View of Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Act, 2019' will take place on October 23.
Another webinar on 'The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012’ will be held on October 25. There will be a discussion on ‘Gender Equality and Women Empowerment’ on October 26 and a webinar on Role of legal Aid in promoting ADR will be held on October 27.
