Chennai: With heavy Onam holiday travel expected, Southern Railway has begun advance reservations for special trains running on key routes across Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka.

Reservations opened from August 1
Bookings are now available for the following special trains:
- Train No. 06119 – Chennai Central to Kollam Weekly Express (Running on: August 27, September 3, September 10)
- Train No. 06120 – Kollam to Chennai Central Weekly Express (Running on: August 28, September 4, September 11)
- Train No. 06041 – Mangaluru Junction to Thiruvananthapuram North Express (Running on: August 21, 23, 28, 30, September 4, 6, 11, 13)
- Train No. 06042 – Thiruvananthapuram North to Mangaluru Junction Express (Running on: August 22, 24, 29, 31, September 5, 7, 12, 14)
- Train No. 06047 – Mangaluru Junction to Kollam Express (Running on: August 25, September 1, 8)
- Train No. 06048 – Kollam to Mangaluru Junction Express (Running on: August 26, September 2, 9)

- Train No. 06523 – SMVT Bengaluru to Thiruvananthapuram North Express (Running on: August 11, 18, 25 and September 1, 8, 15)
- Train No. 06524 – Thiruvananthapuram North to SMVT Bengaluru Express (Running on: August 12, 19, 26 and September 2, 9, 16)
