Thiruvananthapuram: India Meteorological Department predicted that the Northeast monsoon may hit Kerala on Saturday. The department has also forecast torrential rainfall in the state till October 31. Heavy isolated rainfall is expected in several districts on Sunday and Monday.
An yellow alert was sounded in Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Kottayam, Idukki and Palakkad districts on Sunday.
