
Kochi: Shaiju Thankachan, second accused in the No 18 hotel POCSO case, surrendered at the Kochi metro police station here on Monday. It is learned that his arrest will be recorded soon.
Roy J Vayalat, No 18 hotel owner and the prime accused in the POCSO case, surrendered before the police on Sunday. However, Roy surrendered at the Mattancherry police station. Later, he was taken to his hotel in Fort Kochi for collecting evidence.
Meanwhile, Roy will be produced before the court on Monday. The police will ask the court to remand Roy Vayalat in custody for detailed questioning in the case.
The police registered a POCSO case against Roy Vayalat, his friend Saiju Thankachan and Anjali Reemadev, a business consultant from Kozhikode, over a complaint of a woman and her minor daughter living in Kozhikode. Only Anjali Reemadev was granted anticipatory bail by the high court in the case.
