Kozhikode: The district administration on Saturday decided to resume physical classes in educational institutions here from Monday after they remained shut due to the Nipah outbreak. However, the decision is not applicable to those educational institutions in containment zones, and they will continue in online mode of classes.
According to the collector’s order, the students are supposed to be in schools (except those under the containment zones) from Monday. The use of masks and sanitizers is mandatory for students and teachers. School authorities should ensure that sanitizer is available at the entry gates of institutions.
The educational institutions from schools to professional colleges, had been closed for a week due to the Nipah outbreak in the district.
