The accident occurred at Bidadi while they were returning home from airport

Mananthavady: A newlywed woman from Wayanad died in a car accident on the Bengaluru-Mysuru National Highway. Afreena (23), of Kunhome in Thondernad, was killed in the accident around 3 p.m. on Wednesday.
Afreena's husband, Uvais, a native of Changadakkavu in Mananthavady, was driving the car. The couple had got married three months ago. The accident occurred at Bidadi while they were returning home after dropping off Uvais's brother and his wife at Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru.
Uvais's mother Sajida, sister Sahla and Sahla's two-year-old daughter Khadija were also in the car. The accident is suspected to have occurred after Uvais fell asleep while driving. No one else suffered serious injuries.
All India KMCC Bengaluru workers led the rescue operation and admitted the injured to Bharat Kempanna Hospital. Afeena's body was shifted to Rajarajeshwari Medical College Hospital.
Afeena is daughter of Monthol Haris and Safeera. She is survived by her siblings Afrad, Absar and Aisha.
