Thiruvananthapuram: A new registration series called "KL 99" has been created specifically for government vehicles in the state. This decision was made during a high-level committee meeting on Wednesday and will soon be formalized as an official order.
The special registration series has been launched to curtail the misuse of government vehicles. The registration series ‘KL 99 A’ will be given to vehicles of state government departments, while ‘KL 99 B’ for the central government institutions in the state. The registration series for the local governing institutions and public sector undertakings will be ‘KL 99 C’ and ‘KL 99 D’, respectively.
The government of Kerala has announced that it will implement strict regulations to prevent the use of the "Kerala Government" board on non-governmental vehicles.
