Thiruvananthapuram: 30 new hotspots have been identified in the state on Sunday. Currently, there are 222 hotspots in Kerala, KK Shailaja stated in a press release.

Elamkunnapuzha (containment zone: ward 14, 15  Kalamukku market), Muvattupuzha Municipality (1, 28 Pezhakkappilyy market), Kumbalangi (5,9), Kalamassery Municipality (36), Thiruvaniyoor (6), Rayamangalam (13, 14), Kavalangad (11) in Ernakulam district, Beloor(11), Kallaru (3), Panathady (11), Kayyoru- Chinmeni (11) in Kasaragod district, Malappattam (5), Paayam (2), Ancharakkandi (9), Mangattittam (17) in Kannur district, Kallooppara (13), Malayalapuzha (3, 11), Kottangal (2) in Pathanamthitta district, Nellaya (11), Kollangod (2), Vallappuzha (5,13) in Palakkad district, Nadapuram (all wards) and Thuneri in Kozhikode district, Arimbur (5) Athirappilly (4) in Thrissur district, Cherthala Taluk (entire taluk), Ramankari (9) in Alappuzha, Pulpally (all wards), Puttadi (4,5) in Wayanad district and Aymanam (6) in Kottayam district are the newly added hotspots.

Meanwhile, three areas have been removed from the list of hotspots on Sunday. Valiyaparamba (containment zone: ward 4,7,10,13), Madikkai (2,12), Karadukka (4,7,10,14) regions have been removed from the hotspot list.
