
Thiruvananthapuram: Twenty regions have been added to the list of hotspots in the state on Friday. With this, the total number of hotspots in the state has increased to 285.
Kalanjoor (Containment zone: ward 5,6), Pramadam (10), Adoor Municipality (24,26), Ayiroor (15), Thannithodu (3,4,5,6,7,8) in Pathanamthitta district, Guruvayur Municipality (35), Velookkara (5,7), Chovvannur (1) in Thrissur district, Peruvemba (1), Thenkara (5), Sreekrishnapuram (2) in Palakkad district, TV Puram, (10), Kumarakam (4), Pallikkathod (7) in Kottayam district, Melila (2,15), Vettikkavala (all wards) in Kollam district, Vazhathoppu (4), Mariyapuram (5,10,11) in Idukki district and Kalpetta (18), Edavaka (2) in Wayanad are the new hotspots in the state.
Meanwhile, 6 areas have been removed from the hotspot list. Chirakkadavu (4,5), Erumeli (12), Thrikkodithanam (12) in Kottayam and Kuzhalmandam (5), Anakkara (3), Parali (11) in Palakkad district have been removed from the hotspot list.
