Kasaragod: On the second day of the Nava Kerala Sadas in Kasaragod on Sunday, Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan launched a scathing attack against the central government. He held the leaders in Delhi responsible for the financial crisis in the state. “The current union government is demeaning the entire federal structure. Despite notching up remarkable feats in terms of tax revenues and domestic production, the central leadership has been rather unkind towards Kerala burdening the state time and again through its policies. Meanwhile, Congress in Kerala is only focused on showcasing the LDF government in bad light. It's a double whammy,” stated Pinarayi.

“The aim of the Nava Kerala Sadas is to highlight the achievements of the LDF government so far. Future developmental programmes are also being discussed on these stages. People have been really receptive so far. The programme is already a grand success,” said Kerala CM.

Pinarayi Vijayan also hailed the verdict of the Ernakulam POCSO Court against Asafaq Alam, the culprit in the Aluva child rape and murder case. The veteran communist leader noted that the legal proceedings in the case were warped up in record time.

He also praised IUML leader NA Aboobacker for participating in the Nava Kerala Sadas on Sunday morning. Meanwhile, 1,908 complaints related to various issues were received from the public in the meeting yesterday.
