Malappuram: League leader K M Shaji backed Mueen Ali Shihab Thangal, son of Hyderali Shihab Thangal and Youth League State Vice President, on the matter of conflict inside Muslim League. Shaji made it clear that the party does not have anything against the dissenting voices and that disagreements and criticism are part of democracy. As the conflict is knotting up, Shaji expressed his criticism through a Facebook post aimed at P K Kunhalikutty.

He noted in his Facebook post that there is a flow of freedom of opinion. He also added that there is no vendetta against people who oppose the party.
