Thiruvananthapuram: Mayor Arya Rajendran informed the media that municipal employees found the body in Thakaraparambu, Thiruvananthapuram, by 9.15 am in a decomposed state lying face down on the ground. She also added that the family will soon confirm the identity of the body. 

The search had been ongoing for more than 48 hours with hopes of finding Joy safe and sound. Official confirmation of the identity will come after further investigation. The body was found by municipal workers who were monitoring the area during heavy rains. Municipal workers had been alerted in all nearby wards.

After finding the body, the matter was reported to authorities, including the Collector. The family has been informed and asked to come for official confirmation. Measures for garbage collection were in place, and thorough checks were being conducted in the area.

The family and colleagues have been informed about the finding. The sub-collector mentioned that definite confirmation would only be possible after the family arrives.

During the inspection, the body was uncovered when workers noticed something suspicious under a cloth. It was lying face down, and the person who saw it said that searches had been conducted thoroughly covering one area after the other.
