Following the message, court authorities immediately forwarded the information to the Thrissur Collector. The Thrissur Collector, in turn, informed the Idukki Collector about the threat.
How did the authorities act?
A multi-agency team, including the bomb squad, anti-terrorist unit, and dog squad, visited the dam. They carefully checked the main dam, the baby dam, and the water shutters leading to Tamil Nadu. No suspicious items were found.
A case has been registered. Authorities plan to form a special team to investigate the incident, trace the email source, and check the threat’s seriousness.
Police officials said they will ask Microsoft to help trace the email and will carry out a detailed inspection of the threat.
