
Kozhikode: Mozilor IT Company, which began as a humble startup in 2017 at UL Cyberpark in Kozhikode, has grown into a global success story. Founded by Anvar Tharamal Kodappana and Faseela Arikal, natives of Areekode in Malappuram, the company started with just four laptops and a vision at the Kozhikode NIT campus. Today, Mozilor employs over 120 people and operates in Kozhikode, Kochi, and the UK, where its headquarters is now located.
Humble Beginnings
Mozilor was incubated at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Kozhikode. The company initially focused on a product called WebToffee, which provides payment and promotion management solutions for e-commerce platforms. Within six months of its launch, the startup experienced rapid growth, necessitating a move from NIT to Highlight Business Park in Kozhikode.
Key Milestones
Starting in a small room at NIT Kozhikode, Mozilor has grown into a global IT powerhouse, making Kozhikode proud on the world stage. Founder and CEO Anvar Tharamal Kodappana shares the company’s milestones as below;.
- Expansion: Starting with just four employees, Mozilor expanded to 18 employees at Highlight Business Park and eventually grew to 120 employees by 2024.
- Innovative Products: Mozilor’s growth was propelled by the launch of CookieYes, a product that manages website cookies. This tool is now used by over 2 million websites, including high-profile clients such as the UK Government, Reuters, Forbes, KFC, Domino's, and Toyota.
- Global Recognition: Mozilor became the only IT company in India to partner with Google as a Consent Management Platform (CMP) provider.
Global Ranking and Financial Success
Mozilor’s exceptional growth has earned it the 30th spot among the 100 fastest-growing companies globally, as per the US-based Jidu Ranking. The company anticipates revenue of ₹80 crore in the current financial year.
