Malappuram, Kerala:  A mother and her three-month-old infant have been found dead in Mongam in Malappuram district.

The mother, Mini (45), was found hanging, while her infant was found dead in a water-filled bucket. It is suspected that the mother intentionally drowned her baby before taking her own life.

A suicide note was found at the house, suggesting that Mini's visual impairment led her to this tragic decision.  The note also stated that no one else was involved in their deaths.
