"We have received reports from the Fire and Rescue Services, the Electrical Inspectorate, the Police, and the Corporation,” stated Snehil Kumar Singh

Kozhikode: District Collector Snehil Kumar Singh has noted discrepancies in the Kozhikode Corporation’s report concerning the recent fire incident at the Mofussil Bus Stand, which occurred last Sunday. According to the Collector, the reports from the Fire and Rescue Services and the Electrical Inspectorate have already been received, and all related documents will soon be forwarded to the Chief Secretary.
"We have received reports from the Fire and Rescue Services, the Electrical Inspectorate, the Police, and the Corporation. There appears to be some ambiguity in the Corporation's report, which needs to be clarified. We aim to address these issues and expect to submit all the reports to the Chief Secretary within two to three days," the Collector stated.
He further emphasised the importance of ensuring safety standards across commercial establishments, noting that the structural integrity of older buildings will be thoroughly inspected. Singh expressed confidence that the concerns of local traders will be addressed promptly.
Meanwhile, renewed concern has been sparked among traders and residents after smoke was once again seen emanating from the same building. A similar incident was reported on Tuesday night, adding to the growing unease in the locality.
