Thiruvananthapuram: The Additional Sessions Court here on Thursday allowed the anticipatory bail plea of MLA Eldhose Kunnapillil in the sexual harassment and murder attempt case against him.
The MLA is directed to appear before the police on Saturday. He is ordered not to contact any of the witnesses in the case.
Eldhose went into hiding soon after police registered the case. The MLA had claimed that the charges against him were fabricated.

The woman, who accused Eldhose of sexual assault, told court on Thursday that the MLA and his aides tried to kill her at Kovalam. The fresh allegation was made at the Thiruvananthapuram court while it was hearing the anticipatory bail plea of Eldhose.
Besides rape and attempt to murder, the Congress MLA has also been charged with assault following a complaint from the alleged victim who stated he had abducted and manhandled her.
The case was filed against three accused, including the MLA's personal assistant and a friend.
