Pathanamthitta: A complaint has been lodged against a 17-year-old boy for allegedly sexually assaulting three minor girls in Moozhiyar on Friday.
Following this, the boy was taken into custody and moved to a juvenile home. The victims, aged 9, 11, and 13, are sisters. The incident happened in 2024 when the girls, who were studying in Konni, came to their house during the summer holidays.
According to police, the accused, a neighbour, entered the house and sexually assaulted the girls while their mother was not at home.
The incident came to light during a counselling session attended by the 13-year-old girl. Following this, the Child Welfare Committee (CWC) prepared a preliminary report and handed it over to the Moozhiyar Police, who took the accused into custody. During questioning, the accused reportedly confessed to the crime. Later, the child was produced before the Juvenile Justice Board and later shifted to a juvenile home.
