Thiruvananthapuram: The price of milk will be increased by five rupees soon. Minister J Chinchu Rani said that the price would be revised only after holding talks with farmers and holding a referendum. It is reported that the revised price will come into effect in January.

The state government will hold a meeting with concerned parties regarding this. At the same time, the government has constituted a three-member committee to study the matter in detail.

The committee comprises members from Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU), Milma, and the state government.
