New Delhi: The state government has filed a plea in the Supreme Court challenging the Kerala High Court order to re-fix the MBBS fee structure in 19 self-financing colleges for 2016-17, 2017-18, and 2018-19.
The HC had set aside the orders of the Fee Regulation Committee for professional courses fixing the fee structures of MBBS courses of self-financing colleges in the state.
The HC order will adversely affect the future of students, government said in its plea. The Committee had fixed the fees considering the documents submitted by various self-financing colleges. Hence no justice has been denied to them.
Government also said that unaudited documents can’t be considered for fee fixation.
The plea filed by standing counsel G Prakash will be considered by mid-August.
