Thiruvananthapuram: The results of the Mathrubhumi C-Voter survey announced on Friday night predicted the Left Front to continue in power and get 75 to 83 seats. The opinon poll conducted to find out who would rule Kerala has favoured the Left front to continue in power.

The pre-poll results showed the Left Front to gain 75 to 83 seats, UDF 56-64 seats and the NDA 0-2 seats. LDF 79, UDF 60 and the NDA 1 seat is the average numbers in the poll survey.  The Left front would bag 40.9 percent votes while the UDF would get 37.9 percent and NDA 16.6 percent votes, according to the survey.

Around 40.5 percent are against the Left government and want a change. Though 27.6 percent are against the Left government, they feel the government can continue to rule. Around 31.9 percent are in favour of the Left front and does not want any change.

42.6 percent have given a bad rating to the Opposition. 34.4 percent people appreciated the UDF. While 20.1 percent have found it to be normal, 2.9 percent did not respond.

The first question in the survey was on what affected the voters the most. 41.8 percent said that unemployment issue was a major problem which affected them and about 10.4 percent opined it was corruption while 4.8 percent said it was law and order.

Gold smuggling topped the many factors that would influence voting. 25.2 percent said gold smuggling would affect voting a lot, Sabarimala issue comes next with 20.2 percent, Covid prevention 13 percent, Flood relief fund 8 percent. 

The survey which took 51 days covered 14,913 people from 40 constituencies between the age group of 18 to 85 years.
