Ankola (Karnataka): The team of local divers who reached Shiroor to find Arjun will continue its search on Sunday. Head of the team, Ishwar Malpe, said they will search for Arjun even today in the belief that he is there.

Malpe, a diver and fisherman from Kundapura, stressed that the search for Arjun, who is suspected to be buried under the soil, is very difficult. "There is no visibility at the bottom of the river. The current is up to 12.6 knots. It's like trying to see when bright light hits your eyes," he said.

He explained about the challenges they faced when he went to the bottom of the river. “At the base, there are large rocks and trees. The area is filled with soil. At the third point where the lorry is believed to be, there is a large log and a power line. All this will be removed today,” Malpe said.

The Army has not given permission to enter the waters today due to the risk. But he handed over a signed letter to the District Deputy Commissioner saying that he is going to search at his own risk. "The search will continue," Malpe said.

“I dived six times on Saturday. I entered the river at my own risk by signing to the District Deputy Commissioner that I will take care of my life. The search is on, in the hope that Arjun is there,” he said.

On Saturday, under the leadership of Malpe, the team examined the depth of the river. But the deep mud and rocks and the rapid currents of the river became the villain.
