Kuwait City: A worker from Kannur district in Kerala lost his life in a tragic accident at an oil drilling site in Kuwait.

The deceased has been identified as Rajesh Murikkan (38), a resident of Koodali in Kannur district.

The incident happened at an oil rig located in Abdali, North Kuwait, where a section of the drill house collapsed, fatally injuring Rajesh. Emergency teams rushed to the spot, but he could not be saved.

This is the second major accident at a Kuwait oil facility this month. On November 12, a similar mishap claimed the lives of workers from Thrissur and Kollam.
