Malayalam actor Mohanlal arrived in Wayanad’s Meppadi to support those affected by the recent landslides. Dressed in military uniform, Mohanlal, who is also a lieutenant colonel, was welcomed by the army upon his arrival.

He plans to visit Mundakkai, one of the regions hardest hit by the landslides, to offer his support and assess the damage firsthand.

Mohanlal had previously donated Rs 25 lakh to the Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund (CMDRF). In a moving message, he had also commended the hard work of volunteers, police, rescue teams, and government officials involved in the relief efforts. He also expressed thanks to the 122 Infantry Battalion TA Madras for their significant role in the mission.

"Despite facing challenges, we have always come out stronger. Let’s stay united and show our strength during this difficult time. Jaihind," Mohanlal said.

Support continues to come in from across the country. Other actors such as Mammootty, Dulquer Salmaan, Tovino, Asif Ali, Manju Warrier, Nayanthara, Navya Nair, Fahad Fazil, Nazriya, Pearle Maaney, and Sreenish have also made contributions. Mammootty and Dulquer Salmaan donated a total of Rs 35 lakh to the relief fund, with Mammootty giving Rs 20 lakh and Dulquer Salmaan Rs 15 lakh. These funds were given to Minister P Rajeev through the Mammootty Care Foundation.

Actors Karthi, Suriya, and Jyothika donated Rs 50 lakh to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund. Kamal Haasan and Vikram each contributed Rs 20 lakh, while actress Rashmika Mandana donated Rs 10 lakh. Fahad Faasil and Nazriya also gave Rs 25 lakh.
