Thiruvananthapuram: IG, Traffic and Road Safety Management, Kaliraj Mahesh Kumar has been appointed as the Kochi City Police Commissioner. Harishankar, who held the post, has been transferred and appointed as DIG of the Armed Police Battalion. Harishankar, who took charge as Kochi City Police Commissioner on January 1, had been on leave since January 8.

T Narayanan, who was serving as Kozhikode City Police Commissioner, has been appointed as the Thrissur Range DIG. G Jayadev, SP, Internal Security, is the new Kozhikode Commissioner. Earlier, Kochi had Commissioners in the IG rank, which was later changed to the DIG rank. The post has now been restored to the IG level.

Arul B Krishna, who was Thrissur Range DIG, has been transferred to the Ernakulam Range. Kollam Commissioner Kiran Narayanan has been appointed as SP, Internal Security. Thiruvananthapuram Rural SP K S Sudarshan has been posted as Ernakulam Rural SP. Ernakulam Rural SP Hemalatha has been appointed as Kollam Commissioner. Kozhikode Rural SP K E Baiju has been appointed as Coastal Police AIG. Padamsingh has been moved from there to Kozhikode as DCP (Law and Order).

Thiruvananthapuram DCP T Farash has been appointed Kozhikode Rural SP. Taposh Basumata is the new Thiruvananthapuram City DCP. Kozhikode DCP Arun K Pavithran has been appointed Wayanad District Police Chief. Muhammad Nadeemuddin, who was Commandant of the Women’s Battalion, has been appointed Railway SP. Kochi DCP Juvanappady Mahesh has been posted as Thiruvananthapuram Rural SP. K S Shahanshah, who was Railway SP, has been appointed Kochi City DCP-2.
