Atholi: Fortune favoured a lottery agent in the form of an unsold ticket. NK Gangadharan, who runs a lottery shop beside the Atholi panchayat office, won a jackpot of Rs 1 crore, thanks to an unsold Fifty-Fifty lottery ticket that remained in his shop. The lottery results were announced on Wednesday.
Apart from the first prize, six other persons who had bought tickets from Gangadharan’s shop, won Rs 50,000 each. A feast of fortunes. Prior to opening the shop, Gangadharan had worked as a bus conductor for 28 years. He had eventually given up the job four years ago to pursue lottery business. The winning ticket has been handed over to the SBI Atholi branch.
