Kannur (Kerala): The bumper jackpot of ₹30 crore in the annual Thiruvonam Bumper lottery draw has been traced to a ticket sold in Taliparamba of Kannur district.

The lucky ticket was originally procured from the Kannur district lottery office by Aneesh, proprietor of the Chakkarakkal-based Muthu Lottery Agency. P V Valsaraj, owner of the Thamburan Lottery Agency in Taliparamba town, had purchased the ticket batch in bulk from Aneesh. The winning ticket was subsequently sold to the fortunate winner from Valsaraj's retail outlet in Taliparamba town.

This jackpot marks a recurring streak of luck for vendor Aneesh, who has been in the lottery trade for 18 years. He had previously sold the grand prize-winning ticket for the 2025 Christmas-New Year Bumper, worth ₹20 crore, as well as a ₹1-crore winning ticket in an earlier bumper draw.
