From pension hikes to job assurance, the LDF manifesto lays out key offers aimed at boosting employment, welfare and infrastructure across Kerala.

Kozhikode: The Left Democratic Front (LDF) in Kerala has unveiled its election manifesto, ahead of the Assembly Elections 2026, with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan formally releasing the document.
The manifesto has been published in two volumes and outlines 60 key programmes, focusing on welfare, employment and infrastructure. Among the major promises are comprehensive healthcare support for bedridden patients, assured employment for all those completing education in Kerala, and expanded campus placement initiatives.
The LDF has also pledged to increase welfare pensions to ₹3,000. It has committed to ensure jobs for all graduates in the state, with a target of providing employment to 60,000 youths within the current academic year. The manifesto further promises that 50 per cent of jobs will be allocated to women, alongside interest-free loans to support ventures by educated youth.

In addition, the front has reiterated its commitment to pursuing a high-speed north-south rail corridor in Kerala as part of its long-term infrastructure agenda.
The manifesto positions employment generation, social security and inclusive growth as central pillars of the LDF’s policy roadmap.
