Munnar: CPM MLA S Rajendran’s claim that he received 7-day eviction notice has fallen flat as reports corroborates the latter put forth a misleading narrative to media persons.
Rajendran had claimed that revenue department issued 7-day eviction against house he has been living. However, reports expose that the notice was not against house he has been living and his allegations on political witch-hunting are false.
The notice was against the house he has given for rent. While the revenue department's action was based on judicial intervention.
The Kerala High Court had directed the collector to evict the individuals to posses KSEB’s land. Around 60 persons received revenue department’s notice and Rajendran was one among them.
Reports suggest that Rajendran possed 9 cent land of KSEB. He fenced the land and constructed a house, which has been given for rent. The notice is against that property.
