Kollam: The police will record the statement of the woman who lodged a sexual harassment complaint against NCP leader Padmakaran, on Wednesday. The woman informed that the police called her to report at the statin on Tuesday evening at 6, but due to some inconvenience she was not able to turn up.

“I hope that police will call me today.  I am ready to report at any time. But cannot disclose whether I would lodge a complaint against the minister or not. NCP is trying to protect the accused. My party stands with me”, said the complainant.

A probe will be initiated into the cause of delay in registering the complaint, spoke the South Zone IG.

Police had registered the case on Tuesday evening against NCP leader G Padmakaran and a party worker Rajeev based on the complaint given by the woman. The statements of the accused also will be recorded.
