KSRTC starts advance booking for Onam special buses between Kerala, Bengaluru, Mysuru and Chennai from August 18 to September 2, 2026.

With Onam travel rush expected to increase in the coming weeks, the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has opened advance reservations for special interstate bus services connecting Kerala with Bengaluru, Mysuru and Chennai.
The special services will operate between August 18 and September 2, 2026, with buses running both from Kerala to these cities and on return routes back to the state.
According to KSRTC, services from Kerala to Bengaluru, Mysuru and Chennai will operate from August 18 to September 1, while return services will run from August 19 to September 2.
Bengaluru-Kerala routes get more Onam services
For passengers travelling from Bengaluru to Kerala during the festival season, KSRTC has arranged additional services on several busy routes.
The corporation will operate:
- 8 services from Bengaluru to Kozhikode
- 4 services to Kannur
- 4 services to Ernakulam
- 3 services to Thrissur
- 2 services to Kottayam
Additional Super Deluxe and Special Fast services will also connect Bengaluru with Malappuram, Alappuzha, Kollam, Kottarakkara, Punalur, Cherthala, Haripad, Payyanur, Kanhangad and Thiruvananthapuram.

Additional buses from Mysuru and Chennai
KSRTC has also arranged extra services from Mysuru and Chennai to Kerala.
From Mysuru:
- 2 services to Kannur
- 1 service each to Ernakulam and Thrissur
From Chennai:
- 1 Super Deluxe service to Thiruvananthapuram
- 1 Multi-Axle AC service to Ernakulam
Similar services will also be available for passengers travelling from Kerala to these destinations.
How to book KSRTC Onam special bus tickets
Passengers can book tickets through the KSRTC website, mobile application, or reservation counters across Kerala.
KSRTC has advised travellers to reserve tickets early to avoid last-minute difficulties during the Onam holiday rush. The corporation said more special services will be introduced if passenger demand increases.
