Thiruvananthapuram: Electricity workers across the country, led by Left-wing organisations, will go on a one-hour strike from 12 noon to 1 pm on Monday in protest against the privatisation of the electricity sector.
KSEB (Kerala State Electricity Board) employees and officers will also participate in the strike, organised under the National Coordination Committee of Electricity Employees and Engineers.
The strike in Kerala is held in solidarity with workers in Chandigarh, where protests against privatisation are already underway.
Similar protests are taking place in Uttar Pradesh and Telangana.
