Seeking to distance the party leadership from the fallout, KPCC President Sunny Joseph reaffirmed the organisation's trust in the bench.

The Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) has dismissed the official responsible for a controversial social media post targeting Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, confirming that the matter remains under examination.
The now-deleted post on the unit’s X handle directly challenged the Chief Justice: "Dear Surya Kant, if law and order is not your domain, resign now. We will find your replacement who can handle it." The post came in response to remarks attributed to the Chief Justice indicating that law and order was beyond his purview, amid strict security curbs by Delhi Police during demonstrations demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
Seeking to distance the party leadership from the fallout, KPCC President Sunny Joseph reaffirmed the organisation's trust in the bench, emphasising that the party maintains no disagreement with the impartiality of the judiciary.
"The person responsible for an objectionable post against Supreme Court Chief Justice Surya Kant on the party’s official X account has been removed from the position. The post was published without the knowledge, consent or consultation of the KPCC leadership," Joseph stated. He further clarified that social media posts expressing views contrary to this position do not reflect the stand of the KPCC leadership. (Compiled)
