At just two-and-a-half years old, Kozhikode's Lakshmi Krishna Yashvan has achieved something few children her age could imagine, climbing 625 steps across 33 floors without stopping or any support.

The Pre-KG student has now secured a place in both the International Book of Records and the India Book of Records for the feat.

Lakshmi completed the climb at HiLITE Olympus, a residential tower in Kozhikode, covering all 625 steps across its 33 floors in 14 minutes and 7 seconds. She was 2 years, 6 months and 6 days old when she achieved the record.

Her achievement has also set a new benchmark for the maximum number of steps of a multi-storeyed building climbed nonstop by a toddler. The previous record stood at 362 steps and was held by a child from Chennai.

Lakshmi is a student of The White School International in Perumanna. She is the younger daughter of Harikrishnan P. K., Head of Activities at the school, and Aarathi M. R., a tattoo artist. The family is from Veliparamba, Keezhmad, in Kozhikode.

Her elder brother, Shiva Krishna Yashvan, is a Grade 1 student at The White School International.
