
Kozhikode: The first Beta Generation baby in the city was born at the Maternal and Child Health Centre of Kozhikode Medical College. Renowned as the place where the most number of babies are born in Asia, the baby was delivered at 5.06 am on Wednesday morning.
The baby is the first child of engineer Muhammad Fulael Ullat from Areekode and Saniya from Wandoor. According to unofficial sources, this is the first Generation Beta baby born in Kozhikode. However, official confirmation will take three days, according to District Birth Registrar and Corporation Health Officer Dr Munawar.
Dr Munawar clarified that hospitals usually take three days to officially report delivery details. Unofficial information suggests that the first baby born at IMCH (Institute of Maternal and Child Health) is a boy.
Generation Beta refers to children born between January 1, 2025 and 2039, succeeding Generation Alpha.
