Kozhikode: The Special Additional District Sessions Court on Thursday rejected the petition of Jollyamma Joseph (48) alias Jolly seeking to acquit her in the Koodathai Roy Thomas murder case. The plea was rejected by Justice SR Shyamlal.
The case has been transferred to December 24 and all cases in connection with the murders will be heard on December 26.
Earlier, the court had rejected the discharge petition filed by the defendant in connection with Jolly’s attempt to kill herself in the district jail.
Reportedly, advocate BA Aloor and advocate Hijaz Ahmed appeared for the accused while special prosecutor NK Unnikrishnan, additional public prosecutor E Subash were present for the prosecution.
Jolly Joseph, a resident of Koodathai village in Kozhikode district, is the prime accused in the killings of six family members, including a two-year-old, over more than a decade.
