Chennai: Doctors of Apollo Hospital in Chennai informed that the health condition of CPM leader Kodiyeri Balakrishnan continues to remain the same. Currently, his infection has come down. However, strict restrictions will persist in case of permitting visitors. 

Kodiyeri has been admitted to a specially equipped room in Apollo Hospital. He is accompanied by his wife Vinodini and son Bineesh. CPM state secretary MV Govindan and LDF convener EP Jayarajan visited Kodiyeri the previous day. 

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and family had also visited Kodiyeri on September 9. Kodiyeri Balakrishnan was shifted to Apollo Hospital in an air ambulance when his health deteriorated on August 29.
