Thiruvananthapuram: The Law Reforms Commission submitted a comprehensive report to the Kerala government with legislative recommendations based on new social conditions, including new laws to prevent and curb witchcraft, superstition and evil practices in the state. The report was submitted to Minister of Law, P Rajeeve here on Saturday. The report includes 13 bills.

The law against moral policing also intends to prevent mob lynching based on caste, ethnicity and gender. The commission also recommended a law to protect the good samaritans.

It also includes a bill to prevent fraud and to regulate the appointment of domestic workers and residents associations. There is also a bill to repeal obsolete laws and 8 bills to amend the existing ones.

The commission is headed by Justice K T Thomas. K Sasidharan Nair, N K Jayakumar, Lizamma Augustin, K George Oommen and Chacko V M are the other members.
