The latest IMD Kerala rain alert indicates that all 14 districts are likely to receive moderate to isolated heavy rainfall, bringing partial relief from the intense summer heat.

According to the IMD Kerala weather update, thunderstorm activity accompanied by gusty winds and localised heavy showers is expected across the state. While rainfall will be widespread, certain regions are likely to experience more intense spells, prompting authorities to issue a yellow alert Kerala districts advisory between May 1 and May 4.

May 2: Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kannur

Meteorologists have stated that the Kerala heavy rain forecast is part of an active weather pattern influencing the region, with thunderstorms and strong winds likely to continue intermittently.

The IMD has further noted that while no extreme widespread flooding is currently predicted, localised waterlogging and disruption to daily activities cannot be ruled out.

All districts in Kerala are expected to witness some level of rainfall activity over the next five days, according to the Kerala weather forecast next 5 days.

Authorities have advised residents in low-lying and hilly regions to remain cautious, especially during periods of intense rainfall and strong winds.

Fishermen have also been urged to avoid venturing into the sea due to rough weather conditions along the Kerala coast.
