The news of his life-changing win reached him on Tuesday morning, bringing immense joy to his family

Malappuram: A stroke of extraordinary luck has come the way of a Parappanangadi resident, as Naduvettil Padmanabhan (51) has won the first prize of ₹10 crore in the Kerala government’s Summer Bumper lottery.
Padmanabhan, who works at a supermarket in Kozhichena and has been in the role for the past eight years, purchased the winning ticket numbered SB 517026 in Palakkad on 26th March while returning from a temple visit in Coimbatore. He is not a habitual lottery player and says he bought the ticket solely because it was a “Bumper” edition.
The news of his life-changing win reached him on Tuesday morning, bringing immense joy to his family. Padmanabhan lives with his wife Smitha and their two children, Sreehari, a tenth-grade student, and Parvana, a seventh-grader. The family has expressed delight at the unexpected fortune.
