Tripunithura: A shop in the Eroor area of Tripunithura in Ernakulam district has been closed following protest over sale of a balloon with a pro-Pakistani slogan. The balloon, purchased by Eroor resident Girish Kumar for his son's birthday celebration, reportedly had the message "I Love Pakistan" in English.
Kumar later lodged a complaint with the Tripunithura police and officials initiated an investigation. The white balloon, which has been seized by the authorities, was found to carry the slogan.
The incident led to protests, and members of Sangh Parivar organisations marched to the shop demanding arrest of those responsible. The march, which began at Azad Junction, was inaugurated by RSS Nagar Karyavah Ragesh.
